PERSON OF THE YEAR

      My candidate would be Aziz Sancar. In my opinion he is a very polite man and it is certain that he is clever. I would choose him because he did something for the benefit of mankind. I want to explain which  characteristics that s/he (person of the year) should have.  For instance s/he should be honest, helpful, loved by people and also clever. He should be helpful not only for himself but also for the world. I think he did so.

    Actually , being in a committe like that one would be hard because even now when it is not real, I have difficulty in choosing someone.

But genarally, I have an idea about the basic skills he should have. Giving an exact name is a little bit confusing but as I said before Aziz  Sancar would be good candidate for  person of the year.

    Finding the cure of an ilness is someting that deserves being praised. At least for me. And also he deserved the Nobel Prize.

 Considering these factors , he would be person of the year. 

                   MY FAVOURITE MOVIE STAR (free reflection)

      My favourite movie star is Aamir khan.  I have always been a fan of his ever since I saw his first movie, ‘Qayamat se Qayamat Tak’. From being a chocolate hero Aamir went on to do more meaningful roles. What I like most about him is that he is a thinking actor. He is certainly known as the most famous actor of Bollywood. I think he is really good at picking up roles. Not only he is a good actor but also he makes many contributions to his society. Khan took part in a number of public service spots such as Unicef. Most of commercials he featured in were extraordinary and with and humanitarian message. Khan is more interested in the betterment of humanity than making Money.

      He was nominated  and awarded various prizes such as Best actor.

 Many of Aamir’s films, after he established himself in his career, have been movies with a message rather than mindless entertainment. They include movies like ‘Sarfarosh’, ‘Earth’, ‘Lagaan’, ‘Fanaa’, ‘Rang de Basanti’, etc. Though ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ was about love and friendship it was a very realistic film with believable characters. These films reveal his desire to be associated with good movies and intelligent filmmakers.

        To me, Aamir Khan is the living embodiment of the idea that if you are passionate about what you do, you can become the best at it. This is why he is my favorite Indian icon.

        I hope he will continue to make movies because whenever I am bored ı watch them and make up my min

                     MY DREAMS(free reflection)

      I`m sure that everyone has dreams, and more often they are quite unreal, like, I want a million dollars, or a sport car, or I want that my husband will be a prince on a white horse.  In order to make real these dreams my first advice is – choose five of your most important dreams, write them down in your copybook (each dream on a new page),  and then, under the each of a dream make a plan how you want to achieve it. For example, if you want a million dollars (don`t dream that you will find them on the street), so how are you going to earn them, or how are you going to collect them, if you know an economic well, so why not put out them. And as all girls want to find a prince, think, are you sure that you look like a princess.

      You have to start the action now. In my opinion, some people think that they would live for five hundred years, and it becomes a habit to postpone all important things for tomorrow. Never do this, take each day as it comes. And soon you will notice that all you dreams will drop from the clouds.

     Maybe, You’ll meet with failing, and of course you will accomplish mistakes. Like a real warrior you will be on a war field, before you will get a long expected prize. But always remember that the satisfaction that you will get at the end, you will remember forever.

                                    3 IDIOTS

I choose 3 idiots . It is a film that takes places in a university and there are three students who are the main characters  of the movie. They have to study hard to find a good job for their future ,and they face with some difficulties such as poverty. Nonetheless they succeed to be happy at the end of the movie. One of the characters ‘Raju’  always cares about his grades more than necessary on the contary Rancho cares about only learning not grades. It gives us the message that the grades you take from exams are not so important. It also criticises  the educational system in ındia.

      The producer thinks that the main character’Rancho’ is based on him. It is inspired from his own life. According to him , his family wanted him to be a doctor , but he pursued his dream of filmmaking. He reflects hid ideas and memories directly. I think he makes great implications because he highlights the points that are the weaknesses of system. He points out that students learning in order to get goood grades not to get learn and they are not eager to learn. For example there is a scene in the movie ; he asks the meaning of a word and everyone starts to find the meaning before others. When time is out he says ‘noone is excited to learn , they just try to do first like a competition’. It is a good reflection because it criticises with humour not with anger.

       I really agree with the producer; the system is wrong. I like the movie so much and ı think it is very important for both personally and socially.

I want to mention about technology due to the fact that it is a significant part of our lives from the basic house chores to the most sophisticated areas. Technology surrounds almost everyone in the modern society, affects both work and leisure activities. It is transforming our lives and shaping our future with profound implications. It has a personal significance for me like everyone. I make researches for my project tasks and information with the help of technology. I like the useful side of technology, for instance advancements in technology have greatly increased our living standarts. Despite the fact that we are experiencing very high inflation rates and the rates of un employment are very high, generally people are feding, dressing better and living more comfortable lives. The great technological advancements in health care give a chance to doctors to treat their patients in an environment that is virtual through the use of medium such as video conferencing. On the other hand , I don’t like it because with every development made in the technological world creative destruction results such as bombs, nuclear weapons. Whether it is a good thing or not depends on the use of people. There are many people who think like me. I have difficulty in justifying my argument and finding examples.  

I don’t have a special strategy, ı just made some research.
